Reading your story was enough to panic me.

There must be something wrong if the EPISTAXIS (the medicinal term for nose bleeding) always happened.

I always refer to www.surgical-tutor.org.uk for help, in case of any symptoms or injuries.

For specific article on epistaxis, here is the link. http://www.surgical-tutor.org.uk/default-home.htm?system/hnep/epistaxis.htm~right

Hope that you would take more precautions on her body temperature. Always wet her head with a wet towel that is filled up with ice cubes. If happens that she caught up on fever again;

1. Undress her under an intermediate speed running ceiling fan. This will help the heat to be released to the air easily. DO NOT USE BLANKET, no matter how cold is she.
2. Put a wet towel on her head, always wet her body with water to encourage evaporation. In physics, evaporation will cause the temperature of the surface to be reduced.
3. Some ice on her head will also help.

My parents had done that to me everytime I was having my bad fever when I was small. Even if my small sister caught her fever, i myself will do the same to her.

Good luck! I wish i can meet this cutie jazzy some time.

great advice, dat's exactly wat d doctor said and wat i did. i even bathe her a bit, even wash her hair so dat her temperature goes down, but not loung enuff to give her pneumonia. i know traditional methods doesn't allow us to bathe feverish children, but dat doesn't apply to high fever and such, unless it's lungs problem or asthma.

she's recovering tho, and i'm a bit relieved, but her temperature is still a bit high, 37 ++ and goes up and down. still do dat sponging today. she's getting her voice back, i refrained her from drinking anything sweet but when she really wants it, i dilute em with lots lots lots of water. but do avoid things dat has colorings and gas.

but alas, i really haf to go to skool tomorrow cus RMIT personnel would be around to do progression checks, i wish i do not haf to go, and i dare not send her to her guardian jest yet, so azam is taking another leave. but i'm still very undecided, i really dont haf the urge to leave her, altho her condition has got a bit better.

her nose/adenoid area thingy is a bit sensitive, thus the frequent nose bleed. jazz had her toncils and adenoid removed (linked to the chronology) when she was 1 year and 6 months old, she's among the youngest babies who had to undergo dat surgery in m'sia. recently i heard there's one 6 months old baby had to go through it, poor baby, and poor parents. i know d feelings... especially when they ask us to console her right after the surgery. till now i could still recall all the blood on her and her screams of pain, what does she know, she was only 1++. eventho it's not a huge surgery but it's still very painfull to them, because they are very young. but i hope parents will understand all these treatments are for their own good, here's an article why.. i myself had my toncil removed when i was 6, even then it was damn hurtful.

i myself haf jest been advised by ENT speacialist to trim my own nose during the hols cus i'm breathing through mouth for years, to those who haf d same problem as me, do seek speacialist advise. u might not realise, it's one of d culprits who gave u asthma. but i havent contemplate on dat yet, cus i'm very busy and even during d hols, i WILL be bz. i'll do it when d time is right.

right now i'm catching uo with many things i've neglected, jazz still wakes up coughing once in a while... but she's a bit more active today so dats a good sign.
