GILA.Papa's interesting experience in Shanghai...
eventho there are many Muslims in Shanghai, but most of them Muslims in the sense dat they were born in Muslims family. (nowadays) Mulims in Shanghai rarely practice Solat, even Puasa, and they do not even know wat azan (call for prayer) is. so in this one Musolla my parents n Sis Mein stopped for prayer, their tour guide were talking to one woman, who just gave birth d day before. the lady was telling the tour guide, Muslims normally do sumthing to their newborns, right after birth, but she's not sure wat is it, or how is it done. Dad who were very near d to conversing people asked the lady, 'is it Azan? the call for prayers?' and d woman said she doesn't haf a clue wat is it. then dad explained wat is the Call for Prayer to her and how Muslims newborns should listen to the call, which is normally done by the father of the child OR just anybody who knows how to do it. the lady then called her husband and told him about the Call for Prayers and with all humbleness, he asked papa to do it for him. Papa, blessed with pleasure took d baby and did the Azan to him... and Mein took a video of it he he. Mama was praying in the Musolla at dat time. the couple was so happy dat they gave papa 2 pieces of a very nice ketayap, siap ada manik manik lagi.
when i heard this story i felt so... hmm... wat eh? sebak, and happy, and... wow, God bless my dad, i mean that is a good 'amal jariah' dat he did, and given a chance to do it, by God's means.
Subhanallah...
